An ongoing series on 'Balance, Strength & Stability and Posture
There has been quite a few students that have taken a fall in the past few months. Maybe walking up or down stairs, just taking the wrong turn performing everyday tasks, hiking, etc. My intention is to help you to work towards gaining enough information on about the Vestibular system, balance, strength and awareness, and movements to prevent falls works.
This series would be good for those 60+, those that have fallen already, and those wanting to work toward awareness and prevention from falling .
You may ask why for those that have fallen already. It's because once you fall, the area is weakened and building strengthen in that area is essential. working on it awakens the area back up after not using it for a time.
I am certified by the Land of Sky Regional Council in the programs: Fall Prevention, A Matter of Balance and a screener at health fairs for 'Building Better Balance'. My training in this area and all the programs I teach are ongoing. You may check out my training in the drop down box, above, under 'Home' above.
